Lloyd John - Over You (single)
Lloyd John is a 20 year old singer/songwriter/pianist/producer from Limerick newly living in Cork city to study music full time in Cork School of Music. He started his music journey at a young age but only released his debut single Forget in October 2018 followed by his first headline show in Castletroy Park Hotel in Limerick. He has recently done his Cork debut in Cyprus Avenue with his 4 piece band. Over You is a follow up to his previous release Time Machine.
Over You is an energetic pop song that spreads optimistic mindset as the inspiration lies in those who didn't treat you well but you moved on and perhaps learnt something from it. Rock influences can be clearly heard thanks to the electric guitar, drums and overall instrumentation. The lyrics are raw, explicit and the chorus is catchy and everything makes the song easy to listen to. And some of the listeners can surey relate to what Lloyd John is trying to tell us. He's showing his vocal potential here and that makes you excited about the future releases.In fact, this single is a lead up to the new EP planned to be released early next year.
