Gunner - Back 4 More

Gunner was formed in the beginning of 2003 (under the name of Gunner Sixx), in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It all started when Rodrigo Bugallo (lead guitar) and Mariano Angiolili (ex drummer) decided to form a band with noticeable influences of 80's hard rock. Gunner have released two successful albums “Keep Fighting” in 2013 and “All Access” in 2016 and started growing their fanbase while playing a lot of shows in Argentina. In 2019 they signed with Danish hard rock label Lions Pride Music and announced their 3rd opus called “Back 4 More”. “Back For More” is a step forward for the band while the remix and master of the album has been taken care of Ed Omar Carabantes at Studios Hunter, Conqimbo, Chile.
There are sharp guitar riffs, passionate vocals, strong drumbeats, essential ingredients for hard rock. It might be the fault of the genre but you find it hard to distinguish one song from the next, they have the similar themes when it comes to lyrics too. Most of them talk about love in all its forms, most of the time heartbreak or longing for a second chance. The musicianship however catches your ear immediately, especially the tasty electric guitar riffs in Cold Nights.
Delilah would make a nice soundtrack to a rainy evening when you're walking home. The arrangement is a little bit different as it features nice tinkling of the keyboards and brightens the vibe significantly. It shows the tenderness hidden inside a human heart. It takes a real strength to get over a lost love and move on.
However, this album is not for gentle souls, it's more for the tough ones who enjoy the harder stuff.
