Joe S - The Lockdown (Stay With Me) (single)
Joe S is the self-proclaimed Anti-Folk artist from Co.Laios, Ireland. He played a show 150 feet undergournd in Mitchelsotwn Cave in April 2018, released the Kings & Kaisers EP in February 2017, supported Mundy at the 2016 Ourland Festival and also was the youngest ever performer at the festival, as well as headlining some of Ireland's most prestigious venues such as Whelan's, The Sugar Club and the Roisín Dubh. Joe S has three previous studio releases under his belt including his ethereal 2019 single The Mountain, which featured a beautiful Irish Sign Language interpretation by the Midlands ISL Learners Choir in its video. He has spent the current Covid-19 crisis recording his latest single The Lockdown (Stay With Me) as well as its accompanying music video.
The Lockdown (Stay With Me) features drums from OK Go’s Dan Konopka, is mixed by 6x Grammy award winner Brian Vibberts and is mastered by world renowned engineer Bob Katz. The anthemic release also features over 150 voices from people all around the world and is a testament to all the strength and perseverance seen throughout this crisis.
The song starts with a gentle guitar and Joe's voice being soft, comforting, trying to tell you that we might be facing a difficult situation right now but it's not gonna last forever and we can get through this if we stay together and support each other. The monumental chorus is a personification of the overall theme of the song. You can cope with everything in the world if you have somebody to go through it with. Together we're strong and if we stick together we're gonna overcome this. You can't go with the head against the wall but just take the situation as it is and try to find ways to cope with it.

The positivity and hope is pouring through. Nothing is as bad as it seems and every cloud has a silver lining.
