Music from the Heart

There are very few female vocalists in rock music who really get your attention. Of course, there are likes of Amy Lee of Evanescence or the late Dolores O'Riordan coming to your mind when you think about it but then there are surprises. Kimmii Heart of Reality Suite is one of them. An incredibly powerful vocal that goes perfectly together with chosen genre, the singer has a great diction so you understand what she says and that's not always the case these days. Formed in 2009 in North Haledon, New Jersey by childhood friends Brian King (drums,) Antonio Valenti (bass,) and Joe Padula (guitars) – their ambitions have been to produce heavy, melodic rock. After several male and female vocalists, Kimmii Heart had joined in 2013 establishing the definitive line-up known today worldwide. They recently released a live album that captures the band in their best doing what they love the most.

This live recording took place at Alpha Wave Studios in New Jersey and the show was also streamed so the fans around the world could tune in. From the start the anticipation from the audience can be felt in the air as well as the love for the band. Kimie Heart is a dynamic frontwoman with a powerful voice and combined with her bandmates they put on a show that needs to be experienced to be understood.

There aren't stories told in between the songs as we may be used to with other artists but this doesn't do any harm nor diminishes the impression you get once you see Reality Suite live. And of course, you clearly notice the striking difference between when Kimmii Heart talks and her voice is gentle and a bit girly and when she sings and she turns into this force of nature who puts everything she has in the songs.Brian King's drums form an inmissable part of the songs and the live show alike, he understands the songs well therefore there is balance between the instrument and the lead singer's voice.  The listener can enjoy some tasty electric guitar solos from Joe Padula along the way which give the songs the right vibe.

The powerful lyrics are taken to another level when performed live yet the impact is always there. Like any enjoyable show, this one ends sooner than you would like.

A Reality Suite live show is an experience in its own right, for the European audiences quite distant yet we can be thankful for the option of modern technology so we can be there one way or the other. And keep the hope they'll come near us in the not too distant future.
