Music from the Heart

Dublin artist Jam Hades (pronounced Hey-Dees) released his fourth single/video from the SoVivid 2020 series, People's Habits, back in September. Following on from ‘Iconoclasm’, ‘Crazy Suit’, and ‘Winsome Stream’; songs released over the past four months, he continues to reinterpret the boundaries between alt/folk and post-punk/rock. Being economic with time, space, lyric and the truth are the basic themes behind both song and video. He is currently working on the fifth release of the series, somewhere in north Co. Dublin.

People's Habits is dark, widely experimental track that musically evokes a ritual in the woods or a mysterious ceremony as such. Crossing boundaries between genres, he makes waves. The lyrics are hard to be understood, therefore the track is quite open for interpretation. The vocal sounds demonic at times which only adds to the overall vibe.  Given the title, it maybe an insight to people's heads and the good and bad side of their daily lives. Up to the listener to figure it out. A cross between speaking and singing.

Not everybody's cup of tea but something a little different than what you're probably used to.
